Note: Zoom whitening can cause temporary or short term sensitivity often described as “zingers.” Use of a high fluoride sensitivity toothpaste can be implemented two weeks prior to tooth whitening to diminish or eliminate the temporary sensitivity that can result from the whitening portion of the procedure.

NO! Each case is unique. After you complete your online consultation and before you experience Smile Sculpting Brite, an SSB dentist will review your case. Your treating dentist will custom-tailor your Smile Sculpting Brite case to optimize the beauty of your unique smile.  

Before your Smile Sculpting Brite is completed, you'll get to meet with and talk to your Smile Sculpting Brite dentist. Your dentist will ask what you don't like about your smile, and based on your answers they'll help you come up with a final sculpting plan to achieve your unique aesthetic goals.

No! SSB does not add any “bonding,” “white fillings,” “crowns,” “veneers,” or other artificial materials to your teeth. Our technique contours and reshapes your own natural tooth structure to leave you with an ideal, symmetrical, and youthful version of your smile that can last a lifetime.

A Smile Sculpting appointment typically lasts about 1 hour with your dentist. After the Sculpting is completed, in-office Zoom whitening is completed and takes about 1.5 hours.

Note: Smile Sculpting and whitening are performed, but the whitening (“Brite”) portion of the service can be done on a separate day if the patient prefers at no additional cost.

YES, it's completely safe. With enamel conturing, only a small amount of enamel is effected (less than 1% in most cases), unlike veneers or crowns. Also in some cases adjusting uneven enamel can improve the overall integrity of the teeth by helping to avoid fractures, etc. And no, there's no downtime. You can go back to your normal routine right after your appointment is complete.

Your new Smile can last a lifetime. No artificial material has been added during SSB, so your teeth will wear normally and naturally. For patients who grind their teeth it may be recommended to get a night guard, but this is not a “Smile Sculpting Brite thing.” This is a “Let's try to prevent excess wear due to grinding the teeth at night” thing. 😄

Teeth whitening can last for many years. However, normal foods like coffee, red wine, tomato sauce, etc. can stain teeth again over time. Booster whitening is recommended periodically to maintain the perfect Brite shade. Also, it is recommended for a few weeks following SSB that you avoid foods like coffee, red wine, red sauce, etc. (kind of a bummer, but it's only temporary!).

Some individuals considering braces are certainly a candidate for SSB. Although if braces are definitely wanted or needed it may be best to complete orthodontic treatment before considering SSB.
